Our Sales team have specialised in Sales, our Lettings team have specialised in Lettings we don’t have one core business that dabbles in another, each team is dedicated and trained in their own roles and are experts in their own fields.
We have all worked in the local market for numerous years, through the highs and the lows, and we know our area inside out. Being a small, independent agent means that we can quickly adapt to changes in the market place, change strategy, launch new products and ideas without being caught up in corporate red tape.
We are not a sideline to any other business, we’re not targeted on financial services or any other industry related products, we concentrate on what we do best, selling or letting your home!

Having notched up over 20 years in the industry and specifically specialising in Residential Letting, Maria has gained Fellow status with ARLA (The Association of Residential Lettings Agents).
Maria was also Chair of West Dorset's Landlord Accreditation Scheme 09 -13 and was particularly proud of her role on the committee which she held until the scheme reformed into the Landlords & Local Authority Partnership (LLAP) as it is today.
After working at Branch Manager level in both Sales & Lettings, Maria set up Kemp & Co in 2007. The combination of local knowledge, experience and qualifications she brings to the company enables her to provide clients with an extensive, professional service.
She undertakes many hours of CPD each year and attends many seminars in order to keep on top of the ever changing and complex legislation surrounding the Lettings Industry.
Maria won the Evenlines Professional of the Year 2014 in the Natwest Venus Awards for the Dorset region.
Joanne Hodgkins, started her career in Estate Agency in 1988 in Weymouth as a Financial Secretary for one of the largest corporate Estate Agents in the Country, she then moved across to the Sales Department as a Sales Negotiator.
Having relocated to Christchurch, she was appointed the position of Regional Secretary, responsible to the Regional Director, covering ten offices in and around Poole and Bournemouth.
Due to her extensive knowledge and experience, she then secured the position of Branch Manager in the Company’s leading and award winning office in the UK, in Weymouth for a number of years.
Having worked her way up through the ranks from Financial Secretary ending as an Area Sales Manager demonstrates her sound understanding of the profession with a proven track record and Kemp and Co are more than privileged to have her on board.
Becky has taken on the responsibility of Team Administrator, ensuring the smooth running of the office. Becky is currently studying NVQ III in Business Administration and has really settled into her role.
Responsible for all Sales administration, compiling adverts, brochure production and compiling client performance reports are just some of the day to day tasks she undertakes to keep the rest of the team ticking like clockwork!
Having worked part time in the Lettings Department whilst studying for her A Levels, Leah has decided not to go to university but to join her mum full time in the family business, despite achieving a fabulous A* A A in History, Law & Geography!
Leah has already passed NVQ ll in Business Administration whilst also studying for the NFOPP Levels 3 & 4 in Residential Letting & Property Management. Once completed, she will then move onto the NFOPP Awards in the Sale of Residential Property ensuring she is knowledgeable in her role and can provide a comprehensive service to clients. She is already proving to be an integral member of the team.
Vicky started her career with a corporate agency back in 1994. Initially starting as a secretary, Vicky soon worked her way up to Assistant Manager of an award winning Weymouth office before progressing to Branch Manager in Dorchester for the same company.
Her detailed understanding of all aspects of estate agency is invaluable, as is her extensive knowledge of the local market.
